Playing with clay helps me balance my life as a single mom and scientist. I enjoy most the creative outlet - the marketing and sales not so much.  I manage to avoid these unpleasantries by donating my pieces to auctions benefiting non-profits. 

I prefer to test the limits of the clay by making pieces out of delicate coils. With these coils I usually create female torsos. All the curves and the light movement through the piece emphasize both delicateness and strength.  Recently I have experimented with creating a male version to amuse myself.
